The Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Alexandria was established in 1968. The Consul General of the People،¯s Republic of China in Alexandria has an office in Port Said. The Consulate General works for the growing relations between China and the four Governorates of Alexandria, Port Said, Ismailia and Suez of Egypt in various fields including economy and trade, culture, education, science and technology. Issuing visas and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens are also parts of the mission.
