In the evening of July 17 local time, President Xi Jinping and President Dilma Rousseff jointly attended a concert celebrating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Brazil diplomatic relationship. The two heads of state together enjoyed a wonderful show performed by Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra from China and Brazilian artists and teenagers. The two heads of state held warm and friendly talks. Rousseff congratulated Xi Jinping on his successful state visit to Brazil and attendance at the BRICS Summit and the China-Latin America and the Caribbean Summit. She said that she had very good talks with President Xi Jinping and reached broad and important consensus on developing the bilateral relations, promoting cooperation between Latin America and China and strengthening solidarity among BRICS countries. She said this visit is of milestone significance. She is willing to maintain close contact with President Xi Jinping and looking forward to visiting China again.

Xi Jinping stressed that my trip to Brazil this time is very successful and I have deeply felt the profound friendship of the Brazilian people towards the Chinese people as well as the high attention paid by you and the Brazilian government to developing the bilateral relations and the important role played by Brazil in international arena. I am confident about the development of the China-Brazil relations, the China-Latin America relations and cooperation among BRICS countries. The show tonight drew my visit to a successful conclusion. I will miss this sincere friendship. I am looking forward to meeting with you again in Beijing.
